Press Release Summary: Oxley & Coward is launching a new HIPs (home information packs) service
Press Release Body: Unfazed by the credit crunch and the property market downturn, Rotherham based firm of Solicitors Oxley & Coward is taking the initiative and launching a new HIPs (home information packs) service aimed at existing clients and other solicitors firms unable to offer their own HIPs service.
Oxley & Coward is investing in new conveyancing software to enable it to launch its own HIPs service for customers. Oxley & Coward will now be able to provide electronic HIPs and offer its clients, agents and referrers the ability to check the position of their conveyancing transaction by online case tracking.
Julie Holmes, Head of Oxley & Coward's Domestic Conveyancing unit says: "This is an exciting time for Oxley & Coward. In a declining market we are not going to sit around and wait to see what happens. We believe that property downturns are cyclical and the market will come back sooner or later. In the meantime, there are still people looking to move and we want to be in a position to offer them the most complete service possible from under the one roof that is Oxley & Coward.
"We are committed to constantly improving the service offered to our clients and professional contacts. A natural progression to our service offering is 24/7 online tracking and case updates to our clients and the launch of our own HIPs service. In addition to providing HIPs direct to the end customer, many firms of solicitors may find that they do not have the resources or technology to produce their own HIPs and we are happy to assist them in providing HIPs services for their own clients."
A home information pack (known as a HIP) is required as a pre-requisite to selling a house of any size. There are certain compulsory documents required to compile a HIP and others which are voluntary. Solicitors acting for clients selling properties need to provide or source a HIP. The technology installed by Oxley & Coward enables them not only to prepare HIPs for their clients selling properties but also to provide HIPs to solicitors, adapted to their own house style and branded with their own logo, without cross-selling the conveyancing services.
Oxley & Coward is a long established firm of solicitors employing over 85 members of staff and operates from its office at 34-46 Moorgate Street with Domestic Conveyancing being sourced from its adjacent office at Ebury House.
This new service offered by Oxley & Coward is in addition to the other services which they continue to provide from their Moorgate Street office. In addition to having a highly efficient and trained volume conveyancing team headed by Julie, Oxley & Coward also employs qualified solicitors offering advice on commercial property, dispute resolution including property litigation, company commercial, personal injury, family, wills and probate services and also has an in-house planning consultant.
